Illiquidity Index

Following Acharya and Pedersen (2005), we measure the illiquidity of a stock as the sensibility of its price to the traded volume. The higher the sensibility, the more illiquid the stock. The picture below presents the illiquidity of the whole market in Brazil: the value-weighted average of the illiquidity of each eligible stock. Click here for details.
